I am a journalist and writer from Goldsboro, North Carolina. I graduated in May of 2017 from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Communication with a concentration in journalism.
I became a Weekend Producer and Multi Media Journalist at WITN-TV in January of 2017. I shoot video, write and edit scripts, and put together newscasts.
Most of my sports reporting experience stems from my school's news orgnization, The East Carolinian. I began in January of 2015. I helped start the video department called TEC Video, formerly known as TECTV. I hosted a football talk show called TECsperts. I was the Sports Director of the weekly newscast. As the Sports Director I managed a reporter, wrote scripts, produced packages, edited and shot video, and anchored weekly.
As a print reporter, I worked my way up from ECU tennis beat writer to Opinion editor. Then I went back into the field as the ECU women's basketball beat writer, from which I went to ECU baseball beat writer. After that I became the Sports Editor, where I managed 10 reporters, came up with design for my page(s), wrote social media headlines, and helped manage our online website.
I interviewed East Carolina head baseball coach Cliff Godwin after his team won the 2016 Charlottesville Regional.
